Planning With Steroids
SW Day one: Plan ahead
We are going to start the course off, nice and easy. Don't worry it will pick up :) Today, I would like to spend this time talking about planning and goal setting. Many people laugh when they hear the term ‘goal setting’, but the truth is, it’s a very important part of everyone’s life, whether you take it serious or not, is up to you.
Your goals: What do you want to accomplish?
Before you lift a weight, take a supplement, or take a steroid, you must ask yourself, “Why am I doing this, what do I want to get out of this?”.
When we talk about steroid use, we usually have two options.
Option A. Gain mass, and strength.
Option B. Lose body fat, increase/maintain strength.
Believe it or not, the steroids one takes, has nothing to do if they gain, or lose weight. This is determined by the diet. Once you pick option A or B, you must then set your goals. Make sure your goals are realistic; create your goal, by comparing yourself now, to where you want to be in 8 weeks, 1 year, 2 years, etc.
Do you want to put on 20 pounds? Lose 20 pounds? Increase your bench 20 lbs? It’s up to you. Just make it realistic. If you set your goals too high you are setting yourself up to fail. Once you have your goals set, you want to planning your future to meet these goals.
Plan your diet.
Steroids aren’t magic. Diet, is by far the most important aspect of bodybuilding, with steroids or not. To succeed in this sport/hobby, you need to have proper dieting, rest, and training. When you have those three in check, the steroids may then be added to maximize the results. There are several dieting sites on the internet, but you must find something that works for you, personally. Fortunately for our members, we have several dieting experts on our message boards that help members with their custom diet to fit their needs and body type.
That is it for today. For those of you that are serious about improving your body and personal appearance, here is homework for you. Sit, and write down the date, and your current weight. Make your goals. Start with a short term, 8 weeks. Write the date down, 8 weeks from today, and state your desired weight. Do you want lose fat, or gain mass? Remember, be realistic. You aren’t going to lose 60 pounds in 8 weeks, and you aren’t going to gain 60 pounds in 8 weeks. Keep it in reach. Then, write down your goal for 1 year from today. Where would you like to be?
