Clomid - Clomiphene Citrate Steroid

Clomid is the brand name for Clomiphene Citrate, a prescription drug for women who need assistance with conceiving. It works by stimulating the process of ovulation by blocking the production Blister pack of clomid of estrogen that the body makes naturally. It can be taken in a tablet or liquid form.

It is commonly used by male bodybuilders, but for females there isn’t much benefit from it. This is because it causes the level of testosterone to increase. For males this means that they can use the steroid cycle to help them increase muscle size fairly quickly. The more testosterone a male has the less cortisol he produces and that results in less fat being stored on the body. Some female athletes do use Clomid only to help them lose fat in areas that women often struggle including the hips and thighs. It is also good for eliminating water retention.

Clomid Dosages

The general dose for men is form 50-100 mg over a six week cycle. It is often taken with Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) for the first couple of weeks to ensure the levels of testosterone continue to rise. A cycle including Clomid should not exceed a three week period.

Women need to be extremely careful when using Clomid though because it can lead to masculine features including facial hair. Other side effects include hot flashes, nausea, dizziness, headaches, and blurred vision.
