Default Legs grow too fast, what to do??

I have always been a pretty easy gainer. I can lay off for a while and get right back to where I left off within a month. Right now, my issue is that my legs grow too fast. I know, don't complain. But, I am not planning any shows or anything like that. It is just my legs grow out of proportion. Should I stop doing squats and leg presses and just concentrate on extensions, curls, lunges, etc. I need advice here.

Focus on rep ranges of 3-5 and 14-20 reps. 3-5 will build strength but little mass and 14-20 is mostly metabolic and should build little mass. Stay away from the 9-13 and 6-8 ranges.

i have the same problem with my penis. Everytime i use the damn thing, it seems to grow......

Lol just kidding, just some humor to start the day off. Yes man i wish i had the same problem, or not problem, should i say BLESSING that you have. Let the legs grow man. I have a problem with my arms growing at a higher rate than my shoulder and my biceps seem to dwarf my shoulders, but i still work them hard. My shoulders will just have to eventually catch up.

Just stick with a lighter routine maybe and switch up exercises a bit to see. It will all be about experimenting to find out which routine keeps you the most symmetrical.

If it was my penis, I would keep working it. Hell, I keep working it anyway, big or small.
I will try to post some pics, but not that it would do any good. It's just that the wife is complaining that my legs are unattractively too big. I am thinking I will do lunges, extension, curls, calf raises. Anyone else think that is a good strategy. Shouldn't this also free up some recovery resources for the rest of my body parts?

Lots of IFBB pros feel that they have too big legs and not symmetric with the other parts on their bodies, like one of my friend Steve Namat who just in the last year didn't train his legs at all.. or another great bodybuilder James Flew Lewis is the same too, he often take a break for 6 months and didn't train legs at all. If you just walk usually lot or do some cardio then your legs will be okay and you can keep the muscles on it (in most cases).

You have the chance to focus on the other parts on your body and improve their size and quality. It's good and if you may feel that your legs gonna be smaller then just train them once a month or so..

It's all in the rep range. I wouldn't stop working them all together because you'll lose strength and definition. I would just do very low reps or very high reps....probably very high reps to keep them toned.

Tom Platz had the best legs of all times IMO. I think his legs made his upper body look small, but still a huge man to say the least. Have a personal friend who got to train with tom, he told me Tom didnt believe in squatting until he threw up, he squatted until he passed out. He told my buddy no one has went to complete failure until they have went down for a squat and than woke up on the ground not knowing what happened!!!

One of my legs grows a lot faster than the other two, is that relevant to the thread?

Default Measurement

Thighs are 26". I am 5'7" 180 lbs. I could be a little more cut. Upper arms 17". Like I said, not wanting to compete, just wanting to be in shape and a lot more muscular than average. The wife is saying my legs are too big. She says upper body is fine. Haven't got the opinion of any other women.

LOL.............funny stuff

Great advice from top to bottom. I think you had the right idea in your first post. The heavy base movements (squats, presses) really adds size. i wouldnt want to just completely ignore them but keeping them tight and in shape would be good. I havent ever had you're problem, but knowing how my body responds to certain training, I would lighten the load and go high rep on just my legs then heavy up on the upper body and of course start injection yourself with lots of rocket fuel!

Thats the same as mine. I thought mine were small. I work the hell out of them trying to get them to grow. But im 6' so that does make them look skinner. I can not wear straight leg pants. I have to buy loose fit. Man keep working them ,get them up to 30". 30" legs look awesome....

Default Measurements taken....

Standing and flexed. I actually worked my legs this morning. Leg presses 3x15, calf raises 3x15, leg extensions supersetted with my leg presses 3x15, leg curls 3x15, walking lunges with dumbbells 1xfailure.

My workout felt like a pussy workout, I hated it. I am gonna see how this goes. I am gonna hammer chest and triceps in the morning to make up for this.

Default No straight legged pants!!

I cannot wear straight legged pants. Relaxed fit pants still hug my thighs.
