    Fat calipers is the only SURE way (no cheating) to get proper handle on what your BF% is using the seven or even the nine point method.

    Above link is good.
    Most common is the caliper test, which isn't greatly accurate. usually if you post a pic, some of us experienced guys can guess it within a % or two.

    The newest and most accurate is DXA (dual energy x-ray absorptiometry) skinfold callipers and other methods like the bmi formula can be off by 10% depending on a persons bone density, water retention at time of test, and many other variables. The dxa actually takes xray of all tissue in the body then xray that doesnt show fat(including adipose and essential) then the computer calculates the percentage within less than 1% accuracy.
