    Default Keeping Track of Gains

How many of you guys keep a pen and pad with you during your work outs? I currently don't, I just lift as hard as I can every time. I am wondering if I should start keeping track of things. I have a pretty good memory for what I was lifting last time, and always try to add a little weight or add another few reps. I am wondering if I am short changing myself. Anyone have any good templates for this or any input?

    Cheers,
    Pack

    Default Helps me out!

I do because it helps me make sure i am pushing myself as hard as i can, It also shows me that i am always moving forward! Keeping record makes me see how my hard work is paying off, It is a pain in the ass sometimes carrying a pen and pad but i believe it is a good thing to do! They also have apps on your smart phones you can use to keep track and it times you between sets! It's called jet fit! So that way you make your own workouts and it keeps records and you can also compete with other people online so that's pretty cool!

Its always a great idea. I havent been keeping track of it lately but usually take a note pad with me to the gym.

It won't be long before we start to take a small computer pad with us to keep track of everything.

Yeah I have an HTC Evo, I totally could do it on that. There are apps and such. Just feel like its a pain... When I go to lift I like to think of it as an athletic experience and hit it hard with out distractions. It would be nice to have a score keeper and score board like football or basketball haha B)

I used to write everything down religiously, training, what drugs I was taking with doses, diet, etc. I actually don't like doing that anymore, b/c it's really easy to get lost in all that and only focus on comparing the current week to the previous and getting all pissed off when you didn't surpass.

I've got a good memory when it comes to numbers, so I know exactly what I lifted last time and just try to out do it. Since I'm on cycle, I've been killin it. Most exercises I've gone heavier every session and the ones I didn't get heavier on, I did more volume and was able to go heavier the following session.
