    Default Train or sleep

Good day okes , i have a question , i heve been working heavy hours the last week , from nine in the mornings till midnight , if i want to ga train i have to wake up like 6 am and that means i only had like 4 hours of sleep ,now my question is , is it better rather not to train with so little sleep or should i rather just train light , what is your view on this ? thanx okes , O and one more thing on non training days is it a good idea to keep your carb intake lower than on training days . Thanx

is that there work schedule typical? sure hope it's not. your body needs rest to grow. regardless i would get in at least 2-3 days a week of training. i remember hearing pro's like Kevin Levrone and Branch Warren only getting them like 4-5 hours of sleep a night, so...

and your body needs less carbs on non training days. but if youre fixin to bulk up then stuff your face all day every day (like me )

Rest is my opinion, your body need rest more than training. Put it into perspective it takes years to grow big so shoot for the long term.

That was my thinking aswell , not that i'm looking for an excuse not to train , because believe me , i'm hating every min of the idea that i didn't go train today , but if you are tired you will put a half-assed effort in with the weights and if it will affect me in a negative way i'd rather skip a day or 2 to get enough rest , do you also think i should still keep my carb intake high on these days ? thanx a lot

Bump G-man take the week off from lifting. the rest is important. The occasional break from the workout is good for you.

I say listen to your body. My work schedule is the same way 3-5 nights out of the week i only get 4-5 hour sleep. And i hate when i miss any days of training. Most time by my second workout my body will tell me go ez or go hard.

I personally would go with rest and depending on what kind of work you do matters as well. I have been in that situation as well and when I was in a physical occupation I would just rest. However, if I was in a less physical one I would try to do a few sets of push ups, sit ups, flutterkicks or whatever I felt I needed. This kept me from feeling like pudding and allowed my muscles to feel like they were still tight but rested. Just some simple body weight exercises is all I required. That was me though, everyone is different and only you can tell if a body part feels like it needs a little exercise to hold it over until you can get back on schedule.
