try dumbell lateral raises a different way by tipping the weight foward at the end of the upward stroke. For the guys that use heavey weights and hold them at a 45 degree angle and use a thrusting upward motion followed by throughing your chest down this doesn't work with that kind of form. Stand upright and raise the dumbell so they are straight out from your shoulders. At this point your hands are in a pronated position , with controllerd motion tip them forwrad as if they are a water bottle and you are poouring the water out. Then tip them back and lower your arms. focus on pouring out the water not the raise. You can't use heavey weights for this but if yoou use the right weight you can get some serious burn.

I'll give these a go this week. I imagine I'll use much less weight than normal lateral raises for these.

That's a p90x move . The only reason I bring it up is because people seem to hate on p90x. But if u want some burn and are stuck at home there's a lot of good moves on it.

I dont really hate on it but i have young lifters at work at work tryin to tell this will make me huge. OMG im 5'8" compete at 220 (up to 230 around the holidays) 18%bf powerlifter how the fuck is this gonna get me to a 700 pound squat and 800 pound deadlift...LMAO dont get me wrong i know its a brutal workout but i dont think its gonna help anyone who has been training for a couple yrs religiously. I havent missed a workout in probably 3 yrs been lifting seriously since 2005. Even with serious injuries i still was able to do something. This shit works best for guys just getting back into it IMO. At my last count i hold 12 State records and 2 national records in 2 different powerlifting federations had my picture in Powerlifting USA and am ranked in the top 10 in the USA currently # 6 master and on Feb 19th ill be #1 master and top 20 in the Open at 220 RAW after i smoke everyone at my next meet. So PX90 isnt gonna help me get on the cover of Powerlifting USA ...lol

Life is tough. It's even tougher if you're stupid
    Stupidity should be painful

Crawling is acceptable. Falling is acceptable. Puking is acceptable. Tears are acceptable. Pain is acceptable. Injury is acceptable. Quitting is unacceptable

To dominate one must be physically, mentally, and spiritually stronger than their opponent. Then, domination is guaranteed.

Nobody said it was easy. No one ever said it would be this fukin hard either!

If im a danger to myself just think what the fuck I can do to you!

I think P90X is an excellent all body workout for general conditioning. Obviously, it's not suited for specific sports like powerlifting. PM's our resident powerlifting expert
