I like the long grain wild rice from whole foods with some duck in it.

Wild "rice" is better than brown rice. Tastewise
    and nutritionwise.

    Wild rice with duck? Nice.

Duck has a bad rap. Duck breast without the skin
    is somewhat low in fat.

Yes, wild "rice"* is tastier and more Nutritionally
dense than brown rice, but is a bit of a pain in the
    neck to make.

    (* Wild rice isn't really a rice, it's a grain. Google it.)

I attended the French Culinary Institute a few years
ago, so I'm kind of knowledgeable about all things
    re: food.

Here's an easy, classic, fool proof way to prepare
    wild rice.

    • Finely chop up somewhat equal parts carrots, celery and onions.

    • Pour a little Udo's oil in a pan and let it heat a bit.

    • Add onions, celery and carrots and freshly ground black pepper.
    Continue to stir.

    • After about 2 minutes add wild rice and mix with O/C/C.

    • Add appropriate amount of chicken broth (emerils is pretty excellent
as it is all natural and fat free and comes in convenient cardboard box.)

Not giving exact amounts and times because it will come out
perfect any way you do it, and having to measure exact amounts
and times (IMO) is a drag and takes the fun out of cooking.

Will be posting more recipes here in the future.

BTW, you can also mix wild rice with brown rice.
    (cooked Separately) Yummers.

    Happy eating,

    Herm
