I take three scoops of oats and 37g whey protein 2hours before workout. (painkiller also if I have headache)
AAKG+ L-Glutamine 1hour before workout. 4 proplus caffine (200mg) 15mins before, half pint water. sometimes half a banana. 2dextrose tablets before workout in locker room. This is my ultimate preparation and works wonders for me, i never eat just before a workout, the carbs from potatos, rice etc just cant compete with oats from a shake for steady blood sugar levels. also i never drink tea/coffee so 200mg before WO always gets me going.............. What do you guys do, i've been experimenting for a while and this has never failed me, i used to get hungry, fatigued, sick, bloated with other methods..... |

AAKG is found in NO2 supplements it converts to nitric oxide in the body. It's an arginine derivative.
Mine's like this: *2 hours before: Whole meal, usually bowl of brown rice, bunch of asparagus or brocolli & a whole chicken breast. *Half hour before: "Animal pump pack" (If not on cycle), redbull, 3g vitamin C, 30g whey isolate protein shake(take this into the workout) & pop BCAA's and glutamine like they're going out of fashion. |

I wouldnt take that much caffeine myself, as it constricts the blood vessles, which results in less oxygen and nutrients going to your muscles when you need it, and less of a pump.
I would take around half of that myself, I usually drink half a can of redbull and find it gives me plenty of kick when Im tired I usually do this A snack or carb shake Kre-alkalyn creatine 30 minutes before workout Half a can of redbull if Im feeling tired ( I also rarely drink coffee) After workout ALA half a gram ( and the other gram in the morning) My multivitamin Glucosamine for my joints ( split between a morning dose) Last edited by POONWRANGLER; 11-01-2007 at 06:43 PM. |

All very good ideas.
This is what I do and it works in two ways. I wake 4:30am pop 600mg of vivarin get dressed grab my gallon of water and hit the gym. I only do this for the reason of consistant fat burn from 8hrs of sleep. Second the stimulation from the caffeine and no food gets me fired up enough to knock the hell out of 1.5 to 2 hour workout including cardio. The rest of the day is the diet that is all out to repair the muscle I broke down. Not scientific but seems to work

interesting stuff guys, few ideas to take on board.
poon, i may try redbull and lower caffine, but ive heard its harsh on stomach? bde, i like it, completely different approach, definatly worth a try, maybe after pct with clen........... signal, damn it i forgot all about vit c and its cortisol blocking properties!!! will start taking that again pre WO, im taking too many suppliments to keep track of! |
