Default Fast-food - Healthy Menu Items

A quick question to those in the know.

I travel frequently for work. While I try and eat healthy while on the road, sometimes it can be a challenge. Was curious if you all have some fast-food menu items that you turn to in a pinch that are low in calories and high in protein. Is there a place to go to get grilled chicken with some greenery at a reasonable price?

Thanks for any info you can pass on.

I have gotten pretty good at this. I haven't looked up the nutrition facts to prove it, but from what I know about nutrition its probably pretty good.

    Mcdonalds:
Grilled chicken snack wraps, with out cheese, the sauce is iffy... even the BBQ and honey mustard has a lot of sugar... BBQ is probably the best. Ranch may have some more fats if your trying to bulk.

    Subway:
oven roasted chicken, ham, roast beef, buffalo chicken, things like that, again NO cheese and no mayo, mustard and hot sauce are good choices I think. I also get the flat bread, I doubt it has less carbs, but maybe it does.

^^ oven roasted chicken breast is the best choice. I always get double meat, less carbs and more protein! Double meat is the only way to get a good meal out of subway

    Gas Station:
    Muscle milk
Beef Jerky tons of protein super high in sodium
Package of lunch meat/cold cuts of ham, chicken if they have it, be careful to get the stuff with out added processed fat.
When bulking up I have found that my body handles the high calorie protein bars pretty well too... I know they are jam packed with sugar, but I don't seem to get fat from them. When I am really working my ass off in the gym I sometimes take a 5 or 10 minute break and down a Big100 bar, refuels me like nothing else to keep beasting during my work out.

    Grocery Store/Walmart
I love buying the huge bags of pre-cooked chicken breasts. All you need is a fridge. Becareful to get the ones that aren't processed and are just pre-grilled chicken breast. When I was on my last cycle I would sit down and eat nearly a whole bag for an evening snack mmmm nummy I love those breasts

I'll let you know if I think of anything else... but for the most part, that's how I do things when I am always on the run. I am interested to see what other people have to share.

Thanks Pack... The Subway suggestion is a possibility. There seems to be one of those on every corner.

The chicken from Walmart... is this stuff frozen or is it refrigerated? If it is the later, it would be easy to pull together for lunch. Do you have a favorite cause you like to eat with them? I had been using buffalo chicken wing sauce... Got a little tired of that. Looking to find something that I can use as a dip for the chicken and rotate in and out. I think teriyaki sauce is fairly high in sugar or I would use that.

    Thanks for chiming in!

Also, if you you like roast beef. Arby's is one of the best fast food places with to eat at with the best nutritional values. You can get 4 mid roast beef sandwiches and toss the buns.

    Hope this helps,

You are asking such a contradictory question. Fast foods and health are so inversely proportional.
