hey guys new member on these forums. i am 28 years old, 5 foot 7 inches, 186 lbs about 12-14% bf. i am on my second week of a cycle of test e 500mg a week. my plan was to do 3000cal a day 320g carbs, 250g protein, 80g fat, but dont want to just be putting on sloppy weight, i want to put on some clean mass, possibly even lose a bit of fat. think 3000 is a fair number or does it need to be brought down?

exactly. i was bulking at 3000 for about 2 weeks before cycle and it seemed to be fine. but idk why i guess its just bloat but i feel like im holding onto some fat.

nah im not. i just wanted to run straight test for my first cycle. i have used anavar before but that was just 70mg ED for 8 weeks about a year ago

Well into the third week of the test e. It will really be kicking in . And if your bulking already . Everything should be going good next week or so. And you will need at least 3000 cal. Imo. D-bol is good for a kicker when you start off using a long ester like test e.

ok great then im def keeping it at 3000 cal. yea i was going to run d-bol for the first 4 weeks to kickstart it, but i felt like i should just run this alone first to see how i react to it and then go from there if i want it. id say im reacting fairly well. monday was the beginning of my second week and i lifted chest and never felt that kind of pump or had that much bloodflow before.

Imo I would run the carbs at 250g and the protein at 320g. And I'm sure u know but as many meals as possible, like every 3hrs. Many small meals gives ur body the best chance of absorbing and using the nutrients and maintaining a positive nitrogen balance.

due to money i cant really be spending tons of cash on all that protein sources. the 250 is about 1.35 g per lb of body weight though, so seems like it would be enough.

what is your goal, are you cutting or bulking bro, anything inbetween is a compromise and will show in your end results...pick one or the other and youll be much happier, bulk now, then next time cut.....if you are bulking, YOU CAN NOT OVER EAT.....just my opinoin bro, goodluck

yea im bulking but i dont wanna put on tons of fat. i bulked up last year around this time and put on like 35lbs in 20 weeks NOT on steroids, which was A LOT of fat. i dont want to make that mistake again

What was ur calorie intake then? How often were u eating? Also carbs provide energy but when u exceed ur calories being used then they convert to fat the quickest
|

my calories intake then was about 3200cal a day but i had a much lower amount of muscle. i was eating every 2-3 hours back then.

Sounds like u have a pretty good idea about what ur doing just keep monitoring and tweaking. Also a fat caliper is a good way to keep an eye on things.

watch your diet, if you think your getting fat bro, cut carbs back and in crese protien, if your lifting enough, should shouldnt really put on much fat....goodluck

Cals for everyone is different Bro. 3000 wont come close for me. I need @ 5000 a day. Its trial and error when it comes to diet...

well i feel like im definitely a endomorph. i have a caliper and was measured at my gym a few weeks ago and they said 11.2% but that was early bulking stages.

Bump Deiseld.... Yep, a proper bodybuilders diet is pricey.... There are budget options though... and I think the simplest way around your protein problem atm is to down a small protein shake with every meal. Everything aside, you are shooting yourself in the foot if you aren't consuming at least the 2g of protein per pound a day.
As for calories, figure out your maintenance caloric level and then go from there. Caloric guide (for cutting/bulking/maintaining)

well if im keeping around 3000cal that would mean i need 380g of protein a day, like 50g fat, and only 260g carbs. that seems kinda off as far as a bulking diet goes at least from my experience.
