    Angry Elbow pain

Doing skull crushers last Thursday and on my last rep of second set I felt a sharp pain in my elbow. I put the weight down and was almost unable to move my arm at all without pain. Anyways I was unable to use my arm at all over the weekend without pain in that area. It feels a little better now but if I put any pressure on it I can feel it. The pain is on the inside of the elbow. Any ideas? I haven't worked out since and I was thinking of trying to workout chest tonight....

    Default it could be

it could be a pinched nerve or overextended tendon or ligament ... it would be hard to diagnose over the internet but if you describe the pain like does it radiate up or down your arm.. how does it feel when its fully extended and contracted....

Is it your jackoff hand? JK I have the same problem with my left elbow. I hyperextended it in a boxing match when I was younger throwing a jab(that missed) I have had trouble with it ever since. My Doc says its tendinitis. Big Z can explan what that is. I do not know all the terminology.

The pain does not radiate. It is only in that area next to my elbow. When it initially happened the pain was at its worst if it was fully extended or contracted. Now it only hurts if I use my arm, for example if I try to get up from a chair using my arms. Feels like pressure in my elbow.

    Actually it is...lol

Hey not hitting your target often hurts worse! Thats a perfect example.

I have always had issues with my joints and everything else from years of playing football. My hands/wrists elbows and shoulders have always been problematic for me since.

    Default it sounds like

like you strained something in there shouldnt be much of a problem , if your on cycle be careful , all that strength and your body has no time to catch up... take it easy for a few more days do legs and cardio and when it feels better take it easy on the weights.... in the mean time soak it in some warm water and epsom salt...other than that good luck

Skullcrushers, tricep pressdowns, close grip bench press, behind the neck tricep presses...These movements all place extra heavy duty pressure on the elbows. Try not to overdo it and alternate your exercises so you're not always placing extreme pressure on the tendons and ligaments.

The name of that pain is : Epicondilitis ( at least in spanish)

The only cure is stop to do the exercise which caused the problem. Put warm and cold on the elbow. And before to training warm up very well the elbow and triceps. And use ibuprofeno (advil).

And if u are On roids right now, the deca can hidratate the joins and hide a little the problem, because if are using test and Dbol ur are improving your strengh and muscles but your joins need more time, this is one of the goodnees (benefits) of the deca.

yea i had almost the same thing, but while shooting 3pointers in basketball. i had week muscles and hyperextended my right elbow for a while to get my shot to the rim, embarrassing lol.

it doesnt prevent me from training tho, i go full out on triceps, a bit of discomfort sometimes but nothing too serious. but i stay away from skull crushers thats for sure, i think if u have elbow problems, doing that exercise with heavy weights is asking for trouble

yup I believe this could be the one alright ..its the F***er that put an end to my Woodcutting career. just inside the elbow and you probaly have a swelling about the size of a half cherry tomato and when you press it you then need someone to take you off the cieling .... Well I had to get cortizone injections for it but with the woodcutting, all the repetativeness and heavy use of the elbows in this job I had to give it up. Took up training a couple of years later and now work in PC's and I only train 3 times a week (I'm nearly a fossil, need a lot of recovery time lol)so it doesnt bother me too much anymore. If it dont heal in a few days go see doc and if he advises one of these please please take a week off to let it heal or YOU WILL regret it .
I wish you well and GOOD LUCK

Go to Inzer web site and buy a set of elbow sleeves!! They are a thick fab. that goes over the elbow. When you start working out it gets hot and keeps the heat in your elbow. Your elbow will no longer go Snap Cracle Pop! They are sweet! I own a set. My gym Partner has a set and I've shown 4 other people in my gym them and now they have them. Protect your joints! Wear them when you bench or doing tri's. anything that involves your elbow!
