    Default Surgery Dec 14th

MRI showed tri tendon is torn complety off at the elbow, Surgery Dec 14th they say anywhere from 3 weeks to 4 months before i can get back to work..I ma gonna say 3 weeks. Its bizzare what you can still do with a torn tri, hit becnh press Sunday 225 for 12 reps with a pause yet i can barely get 20 pounds on cable pressdowns for 20 reps cant do hardly anything directly overhead only 10 -20 pounds. Deadlifted yesterday and did 3 working sets with 505 for 4 , 8 and 12 reps absolutely no pain. pulldowns front up to 170 close grip pulldowns about the same normally go to 220 on both obviously no problems doing squats / leg work...asked DR about some test and deca for recovery off the record he said he wasnt knowledgable about AAS to prescibe to his patients but was looking into a DR who may be able to assist. Off the record he said he knows for a fact HGH is the way to go, again he does not prescibe any but was gonna see if any others can help a nigga out. He asked if had accesto any myself then i had to explain my current status with my pending case and the only way i can do it is with a script. Hoping he can recommend a TRT/HRT DR for me he aid hed look into it for me. Also said he had no probs whatsoever with me continuing my training til surgery, just told me not to go past 20 pounds with any DIRECT tricep movements...on another note was informed by our EIT (electrical Insurance trustess they handle IBEW Local 134s blue cross blue shield insurance coverage ) that i will get 750 bucks a week for 4 motnths if i need it that long(never been injured before wher i neede more than a day or 2 off work so i wasnt aware of this).....Heres hoping to some HGH and TRT from DR and a speedy recovery, im buzzing from the percosets and valiums that he prescribed for pain 50 a week of each i got a cool Ortopedic surgeon, He aske me today if i needed another script. I told him im good for a few more days no need to get hooked on those things, been there done that for 20 yrs( he knows abut all my addictions) in the mean time im still working 60 hrs a week at the refinery ( banking some tall paper) and i can now squat 2 times a week now so that kicks ass and squats and deads should go way the fuck up

Its the most bizzare injury ive had thus far i can do lots of stuff at at full strength excepy direct tri work and nothing directly overhead, yet theres still constant pain. Orthosurgeon said he had no probs with me still training heavy deads and obviously squats are no prob but no direct tri work over 15- 20 pounds...so im goping down stairs to
    benchpress
    hammer curls
dumbell curls nothing crazy just to try and maintain

I got another PL buddy who has the exact same injury ( a week before me) and hes doin a full meet Dec 4th then having his surgery

Thanks everyone swelling is finally going down

yesterday i went to 195 x 12 witha pause on the bench
and was up to 30#s on tricep pressdowns x 20 2 weeks ago i could barely do 10 pounds for 10

    Tomorrw big squat day
then some more benching on sat with very lite triceps works and som shoulders just to keep moving til the surgery
I imagine i wont be able to do anything but squat for first 3 weeks after surgery. Although Dr said rehab will start a few days after surgery im sure there no weight training involved in that process..lol
As long as i can make the nationals in April ill be happy
I will keep updating just for the hell of it
Like i said its so bizzare with some of the things i can do and cant do. Dont wish this injury on anyone

Best of luck to you -- I've had my share of surgeries and I know the ordeal but you'll do great. One piece of advice, take it a little easier pre surgery. You mentioned on another thread that your pain was being well managed (which is awesome) so sometimes it's not easy to judge. You don't want to mess anything else up and I know from experience but I'm sure you know you're body and will do what's best. Good luck!
