Default Does anyone know any or have a recommendation for a credit repair service???

I just found out while applying for a loan that i am now officially a victim of identity theft. I have 3-5 inaccuracies on the various credit bureaus everything is out of fullerton and barsto california for the fraud stuff. Credit cards, loans, and a bunch of bullshit, my credit has gone from 698 a little over 1 year ago to 430 right now. Does anyone have someone who can help me to get these inaccuracies off my credit report. I know its not easy, and im completely uneducated on the subject of how to correct it and need it done as fast as possible.

Thanks alot guys

Can you do a little leg work and find out any addresses or where any purchases were shipped to? Seems to me you could legally get some info considering things were purchased using your identity.

Then I'd be getting on a plane or taking a drive to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with someone.

I have friends that are detectives and get these cases every day. Nobody ever presses charges and nobody ever goes to jail. It sucks! The police are just as fruastrated because its not hard to identify the culprits, it's just hard to get the charges filed. And if they do make a case, it's never more than a slap on the wrist, but in th mean time, it makes your life hell.

I believe you can contact the merchant or credit card company and dispute those charges and/or credit cards. You will have to file a police report for each one, sign a certified affidavit, then give one to each of the credit card companies with a declaration that those issued were fraud. You are not responsible for their giving these cards or credit to someone that was not you. They are completely responsible for allowing that to happen and they must take the loss. They must verify authenticity of the person that is applying for credit or eat the loss.

In short you must give issuer the police report, affidavit, with declaration of fraud.

Third the contact credit agency thing..... also look for a local non-profit credit counseling service, we have them here, they are located near the elderly community center so you might try your local one and see if they can point you towards a free service that could help you through any confusing/legal hurdles.
