    Default Fashion for Built men

I know this point is a bit off topic, but I was out buying a suit the other day. I don't have a fortune so I do buy off the rack. Well anyway I had the privilege of acquiring the professional help from a "Queer eye for the straight guy" flunky.

He is seam sizing me a bit to long, and bringing out suits for fall . well anyway he mentions that they do offer free tailoring for men with "lumberjack" builds Pointing out the diamond between the shoulder blades that form for "Stockier" men in a jacket......WTF??? was that a compliment or a insult??

Well moving on to my topic,.. leaving I had pictures of bodybuilders that I must agree have no fashion sense whatsoever.. I mean when you think a sleeveless flannel decked out with a pair of cut off shorts, topped off with a pair of timberland hiking boots(everyone has seen the look, please dont make me elaborate) is catchy that does put off a bad taste in anyone's mouth.

So my question is does anyone have a great style or a preferred department store that caters to athletic men.

What do you wear for a casual summer day? to what you what your choice is for a night out ?

Look forward to seeing the different opinions here

    -Chase

Well it really depends on the individual I suppose. I don't know what you look like wether it's lumberjack as in Muscle or lumberjack as in muscle with a good layer of fat as well. But I know just the plain buff dudes would probs do good in clothing that will fit you just right. Nothing baggy and nothing so tight that you can't breathe. If you are in clothes that fit you just right then you aren't going to look as though you're showing off but will just have a good looking phisique underneath... turns the babes on.

As for going into acutal styles and clothing types you'll have to figure that one out yourself.

For dressier stuff, I've ordered from here before:
    http://www.tailorstore.com
YOu have to send your own measurements though. Mine were off a bit, but wasn't too bad.
Then there is also these guys:
    http://www.maxwellsclothiers.com/
They travel across country and take your measurements. I used them last year. Was something like $130 for 3 tailored shirts, can't beat that.
They turned out perfect, I will use them again.

out here in the country i wear whatever i feel like. take it or leave it. if someone wants to judge me on what i wear, ta hell with em. i just beat them up
i've seen and heard the pro's complaining about clothing. because of their big size they can't shop at regular stores. the really wide shoulders and big ol' legs and small waist make it hard to find things they are not 'swimming' in. anything nice would have to be tailored. thats why back in the day you would always see them in those crazy loud balloon pants and cut off shirts. was comfortable and about the only everyday clothes that would fit.

and screw AF. i used to wear all AF back in the day, would always get approached while shopping to see if i wanted a job, considered modeling for em' too. they are way overpriced though and take a closer look at the labels. most stuff is made in some third world country. prob got them some child labor going on. screw them

lol, "Lumberjack" was I guess this twinks fantasy, as it was the first time I had heard it as well. Then again he did pull inside leg measurements so I guess he figured that's where I stored my axe handle.

I can see Abercrombie is popular here but for me does not fit whatsoever. xlarge feels like something from baby gap. And being 35 I just don't feel right sporting a shirt with big "ABC" letters, graphic's or team numbers on it.

I do like AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans a bit pricey but have a great fit. Lucky brand, and the classic levi.

Been into Dolce and Gabbana for years, and have quite a few shirts from them before they went ultra denero So now it seems my closet is full of Nautica and Ralph lauren pull overs and button up's in colors like "sunburst yellow" lol. I feel like a middle aged chiropractor, so I need to do some wardrobe cleaning.

As for shoes, I dont even want to get started
