The Drug Profiles

What follows is a listing and detail of most drugs commonly used in athletics for performance enhancement. Each drug’s profile provides the Drug Class, General Information about the drugs, how the drug is Used and dosed, and Cautions of side effects and other dangers users of the drug should be aware of. The Half-Life and Detection Time are provided for drug where this information is relevant. Following the verbal profile is a Quick Reference Grid, scaled 1 to 10, for the drug’s performance, uses, and dangers. Do NOT substitute the Quick Reference Grid for reading about and learning the details of what you are using. There is no such thing as a magic pill/injection or a “completely” safe drug; even a simple antibiotic can be deadly. Attempting to use any of the drugs profiled below as a substitute for hard work, dedication and effort is both a colossal waste of your time and money (as it will fail miserably), but also a complete misunderstanding of how drug enhancement functions in athletic endeavors. A Word About Esters

Throughout the profiles, the reader will note esters (enanthate, deconate) and so forth attached to many of the anabolic drugs. These esters determine the half-life of the drug and also marks about how long it will take for the drug’s therapeutic activity to occur.
