how to use filter system

he guys i was going to try to buy a filter system this tim around instead of doing the finger hurting way lol..but i really dont know how to put togeter and witch on to get and basicly how to use..sorry if this is too much at one time but doing it by finger is tireing..anyways any help would be much appreciated.thanks bros

Disposable bottle top with a hand pump is the way to go.
Everything can be bought from RLS which is a source on this sight
All you need for under 200 bucks.

Case of bottles with caps 45mm neck
Case of Nalgon bottle top filters 45 mm neck
Manual hand vaccuum pump

Filters 150-200 ml in 10-15 minutes. All you do is hit the pump a couple times to keep the vaccuum where you want it.

I guess it's mainly
1) how much are you going to be filtering?
2) how long are you going to store the filtered oil?

I have found the filters plug up around the 200 ml mark, or at least slow down.
So for me the 250 ml filter cup worked best.

I believe the complete sets come with plastic receiver bottles so I ordered glass media bottles to ensure better storage. The bottle top filter were still disposable plastic.

Decide what your game plan is and order accordingly. Just make sure the filter has the same size neck as your receiver bottle

be careful to not put too much pressure when pumping the hand pump or you will crack the bottom plastic bottle.....Its happened to me twice

How much pressure do youz guys use on the hand pump? The one I bought has a needle gauge... rough guideline on how much pressure to sustain during filtration without breaking the bottle? Thanks in advance for any/all replies

I don't have mine handy but thebest Ivan remember I pump mine up till the needle is about at the " eleven o'clock " position.

I've been using the bottle top filters with fair success; the bottles always crack and have a hard time holding vacuum tho; I don't think its really so much the amount of vacuum I'm applying but the the BB in the gear that's eating through the plastic. I can get about 75 mL filtered before I lose the balls to continue out of fear of imploding the bottle and losing all my filtered gear.

Anyone have a source for the glass receiver bottles? Thanks in advance for any/all replies

My top container is plastic but my receiver is glass from the same source listed in this thread. I have never had issues with vaccuum. Make sure they screwed tightly together before pumping

which reciever do you use? I was just looking at their site and couldnt find one that looked comptable with the disposable top filter
