Default Whey Protein

I am about to order some Whey and wanted to see if any of you could give me your opinion to help narrow down the 12,000 options. I am looking for one with little to no carbs that taste great. The taste is what I wanted to hear from any of you. Which brand and flavor?
Thanks

I just get mine from trueprotein.com (coupone: KEB246)
FOr post workout, I usually get a blend of concentrate, isolate and dextrose.

Sams has EAS whey 5lbs for $28...I think Costco and BJ's have it too. They have Chocolate and Vanilla and taste pretty good. I don't think I'll be using whey much anymore. I've been reading a lot of articles lately that support the idea of whey being digested much too quickly to support any kind of anabolic state rendering it somewhat useless for BB purposes. Pretty convincing stuff. I've spent a decent amount of time only using food for protein in the past and noticed no difference than when I use whey. Actually I was leaner without it. The way I eat doesn't require me to rely on too much protein powder anyway. I'm going to use casein though. I got some ON casein in Creamy Vanilla flavor and it's delicious and thick. The same articles I've read that discredit whey say Micellar Casein is best. I bet there's a dozen heads moaning and groaning right now lol.....just saying what I've read is all

one thing i would say is, its a supplement (it supplements your diet , you dont live on it)....only reason i say this is because once upon a time i didnt know any better....thank god i learned a little, anyway i remember this guy that worked at gnc, i asked how often how he takes this stuff n what his diet was like..he say this is my diet , i live off this stuff.....i was like dude, you got to eat real food, this for imbetween good solid meals and when you dont have time to eat.....i quickly realized i was talkin to the wall, but realized how bad i was once upon a time.....just thought id throw that out there, food is the most important part of lifting(besides lifting), this stuff just helps out inbetween ......

yeah i think you are spot on Dboy, i only use food for my protien and have never had a hasel with putting on size real fast. In my opinion you dont realy need protien powders but aminio acids are importaint you can learn to skull raw eggs, as well as protien it contains aminio acids as well, i skull 4-6 egg whites and 3 yellows a day and save my money for more roids.ps if you must take protein powders in moderation.

Lol, what did the wall say? I was always able to find the time to eat and brought prepared food with me wherever I was. I know it's not that easy for a lot of people. And who knows what the truth is. I was just repeating some things I read. Whether the information is good or bad, having an open mind is a good idea. I personally think that it doesn't do much and people have come to rely on it too much or consider it a neccessity when it should be food that's focused on. If you put chicken breast and broccoli in a fancy package on the shelf at GNC, it would be more popular I bet.

Ok, so I get it. Protein shakes are, at best, a dietary supplement. They work for me in the am for convenience @ work. I ve been looking @ true protein where you can build your own. Its interesting, but to be honest, there are simply too many variables for me to decide. You seem to have increadible insight into nutrition. Would you be willing to take a look and put together a good combination based on what they have available on there sight?

Yes exactly. Those sites are just annoying to me honestly. I've ordered from proteinfactory a couple times. The first time I sat there for hours putting together this elaborate powder formula and the taste was disappointing and it was very expensive. One of the reasons I like protein shakes is for the flavor. It's like a treat for me because all I'm eating is plain oats, grilled chicken breast, broccoli, eggs etc... If you go under "Formulas" and then "Pre-Mix Solutions" and then "General Use Formulas" on trueprotein, I like the Team Skip formula. It consists of 34% Whey Protein Isolate Microfiltration, 33% Micellar Casein and 33% Egg White Protein. Those are good ingredients at good proportions for an all around powder and it beats the hell out of making one yourself imo.

Lol, yep. I can't even understand how people even buy from GNC. They are soooo overpriced it's rediculous especially in a world of e-commerce. I shop at the Vitamin Shoppe for small things that wouldn't be worth paying shipping for but that's it.

Hey everyone, I've been body building for roughly 4 months now and I'm just starting to see some results that I'm looking for. I'm not really satisfied with the amount I'm paying for my supplements. I'm tired of paying for small containers of them and am now looking for protein supplements in bulk since the ratio of supplement to the dollar is better. I'm just wondering where the best value for that is, can anyone help me with this?!?!
