Ephedrine is classified as a meth precursor, and meth is elementry in the production of x. Just got the pure epedrine hcl I ordered from energyreload.net today and I feel like it gives you a more noticeable stimulant effect as opposed to the Primatene tablets. The Primatene claims 12.5mg of ephedrine hcl per tab and the pure tabs I took today were 10mg each. So per 2 tabs of the pure was 5mg less in total and felt like more so I don't know if this is because the Primatene label is pumped up or their ephedrine is of lesser quality. Maybe it has something to do with the combination with guaifenisen. None of these possibilities would surprise me. I'll be sticking with the pure hcl. So far I haven't seen much as far as results but I also haven't been doing a lot of cardio due to illness and my diet isn't low carb right now. I have noticed a significant appetite suppression but no body fat reduction yet. I'll run this new stuff for a while and see what happens but I have to stop in a week for about a week and then will resume steadily for at least 11 weeks and will update this periodically.

Finally got around to checking out that site. The Ultra Lean is an ECA stack in itself. I'll have to get a bottle of that stuff. Haven't taken ephedra since they banned it. Always worked good for me. Thanks bro.

I would stay away from that product. Just get the Ephedrine HCL by itself and add the other 2 ingredients. The label says "■Ma Huang (standardized for 20mg ephedrine) - 335mg" which is a fancy way of saying that it's Ephedra extract....NOT the stuff you want! I also found another source for Ephedrine and he's a gear source too that I've already used and just realized he has Ephedrine HCL.

Just curious. Why is it you prefer the hcl over the alkaloids extract? I've taken supps with Ma Huang and thought they were really effective at suppressing hunger and raising metabolism. I'm guessing the hcl is the test tube version while the other is a botanical extract. Are you going on research or have you tried both? Thanks.

You seem a little confused. The HCL is the most potent of the Ephedra alkaloids. It accounts for 90% of the alkaloid in the plant. Ephedra extract from Ma Haung is the inactive otc BS you find in stores and if you get any affect from it, I assure you it's placebo. Trust me, I've done extensive research on it, most of which is explained in this thread. The HCL is the stuff that was banned...the stuff that actually works. The stuff you're talking about can be bought at GNC....you tell me which one is going to work...not a tough call. Just read the 1st post in this thread.

Btw, the ingredients in that product are not alkoloids, it's the inactive extract from the leaves as explained in post #1.

I guess I am confused then. I remember buying ephedra products which some had the active ingredient listed as "ephedrine" while others had it listed as "Ma huang". This is before it was banned and both products produced the same thing for me which was no appetite and increased energy. I thought the first one was a synthetic version of latter which was an extract. I guess this is wrong though and it's always all been extracted from the plant. I guess I never took the stuff seriously enough to resaerch it and just considered it a diet pill that worked good. Well I haven't been to GNC in a coon's age but I thought you would never find a weight loss product there today that had 'Ma Huang" as an ingredient because of the ban. Are you saying that they are now encapsulating just the leaves of the plant which is very weak? I think the Ultra Lean has what it claims though which is the equivalent of 20 mg ephedrine from the 335 mg Ma Huang. I will have to get a bottle and let you know how it works. After reading a little on Ma Huang I found that the alkaloids are in highest concentration in the thin stems with the fewest internodes. Maybe they do grind these up and directly encapsulate it. Apparently it's safer to consume it that way than alkaloids extracted with HCL. The article said HCL extracted pure ephedra alkaloids raise BP as opposed to just consuming the stems which lowers BP. Interesting stuff.

Well of course it's all extracted from the plant but which part of the plant it comes from is what's important. On that product they are using the leaves and making it sound like it's got the active ingredient in it when it really doesn't. Appetite suppresion and energy are great but Ephedrine HCL works on the fat cells themselves which is why it is in a whole different realm then that "Extract." And as you said "equivalent to" doesn't mean it is and it also didn't say HCL which is a pure alkaloid. You can take a chance with that shit if you want but I take comfort in knowing that I have the real thing in my cabinet that consists of only the necessary ingredients and no other BS. I bought caffeine in bulk from ebay. I got 500 capsules @ 200mg each for like $25 and bought baby aspirin at Target. When used with my REAL Ephedrine, I have a REAL ECA stack. Just remember, the legal shit never works as good!

Even if that stuff does have real Ephedrine in it, it's using 335mg of Ephedra to get it which is an awful lot of Ephedra to consume when you could just simply get pure Ephedrine and build your own stack getting the active ingredient without all that extra ephedra that could possibly be harmful at those doses. I really feel there's only one real choice here because it just makes so much more sense. If you take just 3 doses, you're consuming over 1000mg of Ephedra daily to get 60mg of the active ingredient. Seriously, why would anyone do that when they could just put it together themselves and take only whats necessary for the desired effect without taking chances on side effects from shit you didn't even need?

Maybe you got something there. Why wouldn't the the non pure stuff work on fat cells though?

Think about this..."Standardized to 20mg of Ephedrine" What the fuck does that even mean? Now think about this..."20mg Ephedrine HCL"...That's the one that makes sense to me. I usually take 80mg daily split between 4 doses, sometimes more depending on how early I start. If I were to use that other product, I'd be consuming at least 1340mg of Ephedra. That's something I definitely do not want to do considering it's not going to take any fat off me. I can't tell you why one works and one doesn't but what I can tell you is that Ma Huang extract is not Ephedrine HCL and Ephedrine HCL is a PROVEN fat burner. It is the specific alkaloid referred to by BB's. It is THE Ephedrine.

Yeah I'm guessing it's not purified with hcl so the raw material weighs a bit more. I don't think its any more /less potent..and you would just eliminate the rest. I gotta agree that it must have different properties as as pure hcl though and that makes me wonder if it might be more effective like your saying...
