Default Expire Supplements

Hey guys, I have found some expired supplements while moving and was wondering if they are alright. One is EAS Phospagen Elite creatine that is totally sealed never been opened. It's 4.09lbs from 06'. Also, I have some no-explode and muscle milk from 07' that has been opened. They have been kept in a huge bag in a climate controled storage unit, and the creatine is really the only one I would want to use especially never been opened. The no-xplode makes me gag so I never really got into that one. The muscle milk is cool though. Just curious on what you guys thought.

How does it look/smell? What's the consistency of it?
Personally I wouldn't bother from 2 years ago, but it's up to you.

Cool, thanks for the responses. The creatine hasn't been opened and the whole thing is sealed in plastic. I'll chuck the other stuff. Supy you don't like Muscle Milk? LOL! It al ways tasted pretty good and seemed to work fine. What do you use? Anyways, I appreciate the feedback.

ha i use old stuff all the time ... creatine should be fine...

ha and muslce milk has way too much sugar and fat for me.... i guess it depends on your diet, cyto gainer (made by the same guys) seems a bettter choice if your bulking (more protein and good carbs) and the muscle milk light if you were cutting.... (if you want to stick with that brand.. cuz they all taste good) - lotsa better, cheaper choices out there though

Yes Supy, Lodine at the other site. Yeah, I figured the creatine would be alright, but it's good to ask. Now, about the protein, I haven't tried cyto gainer, and yes I will be bulking. I actually had bought some protein a few weeks ago, because I just moved and the funds are a little low to buy the best stuff around. I'll get back to you on what that was. I defintiely look for the best quality at the best price, and I know you can change up the taste if you add some stuff in it. I'm sure there are some great answers here, but after workout carb wise do you guys mix a concoction of different items, or do you use supplements, or do you get what you need in your protein? Like peanut butter, oats, etc...

Post workout drink should be a fast digesting carb so skip the oats and no peanut butter..Maltodextrins the best and cheapest ..Most guys will use 30- 40 grams of whey or egg based protein with 40- 80 grams of fast digesting carb depending on your current dietary needs cuttin / or bulking

Is maltodextrins a powder that you can buy or something already in something like protein, or whatever? I will take a look at that site Rep. I would like to save as most money as I can like most people. Awesome! Thanks guys.

Good deal, thanks. I appreciate the info. Maltos are for after workout carbs, correct? Are there any other similar products like Malto that work really good that you guys use? Just curious.

Thanks action. Great article. I have taken expired prescriptions before and they worked just fine, so I figured the supplements would be fine as well as long as they were stored decent. Which they were. Good deal. About the Maltodextrins and Dextrose. Do most of you guys use both or at least one right after your workouts? Those are new to me, and it looks like the best way to get them is thru the bulkpowder link from Rep. I would imagine any local vitamin shops would be really expensive and mixed into some product that had a bunch of other stuff that you don't really need.

I use Cytogainer from CytoMax. It's got complex carb Maltodextrin, low Dextrose and no other simple sugars.
