Default Fish Oil

I was researching and could not find a straight answer about fish oil and the best time of day to take it. I did come across an article stating that pre/post would probably be the wrong time for the fish oil. This article claimed that taking fish oil pre workout, would slow down heart rate and blood flow. The article also stated that fish oil post workout, would stabilize insulin levels and inhibit a spike/boost of insulin. Is this true? I am thinking about taking the fish oil with breakfast only.

you only want protein and carbs around your workout, unless your doing ketosis. breakfast and dinner would work great. you need to take a DHA dose and not cap size dose.

Right now I am doing ketosis and only get in some clean carbs post workout, with meal and supplement/amino acids. I heard fish oil was good for burning fat at a better rate? Are you saying I should not even mess with the fish oil during ketosis? I am just adding an extra 500 clean calories on my program for better growth. My diet is mainly sources of high protein/ low omega fat/low carbohydrate/ intake post workout from whole wheat and that inject supp. Should my cardio really be low intensity instead of high, so I don't risk burning muscle, or is this a myth? How many times a week can I do cardio and shed fat, while still making lean muscle gains? How long should my cardio be for each session?

no take the fish oil. look on the bottle it has DHA % and thats what you should be getting up to 3g a day. not that the pill is 1g, cause the DHA is like 333mg or something. you actually take some kind of fat with your post workout drink.

you shouldn't be taking in any carbs but once every 7 to 9 days and thats just one meal. your not making it into ketosis if your taking any carbs. 45 minutes of low intensity cardio. your protein intake determines your muscle growth. protein is the only thing that builds muscles. fat for hormone production and energy. carbs for energy and the brain.

So if I have the slightest bit of carbohydrates in my system, my body will not go into ketosis? Can I go into ketosis while still taking one scoop of my Glyco Ject, post workout? It contains 25g of carbohydrates for one serving, one scoop. If my body is utilizing that small number of carbs during a week of lifting and cardio, for energy and muscle repair, can't I still go into ketosis and target the fat after the carbs are gone, during a 45 min cardio session? 2-3 times a week? If I am not in ketosis and my carbs are depleted on a daily basis at some point, will by body then utilize muscle or fat for energy? I think I am going to switch fish oil, this one I have contains soy and I think it was made for women

I still think that I will stick with the fish oil intake, with breakfast. I am hearing so much confliction on the best time of day for ingesting it. I am reading stuff like this on it

1. I've heard that taking fish oil directly after a workout might not be the best thing. The reason for this is because of fish oils anti-inflammatory properties. Inflammation is a very important factor for muscle growth and the development of new muscle so taking fish oil right after a workout or even right before might turn out to be counter-productive.

2. It helps with protein synthesis

3. It slows stabilizes insulin levels and slows heart rate/blood flow.

4. It boosts testosterone levels

5. It helped some females build breast tissue after cancer surgery ect ect.

I am confused and do not know what to think about this fish oil anymore!

I have been doing extensive research and decided that I just need to keep researching everything from every angle and source I can muster. I have been reading a lot about ketosis and some say that you must have 0 carbs in your diet, which is pretty damn impossible. Some say that 20-25 grams is the most you could get away with and others say 100 grams daily is ok. All I know is that I need to find out where my genetics will play out on this by trying these methods out and using the keto test strips. I now just need to get in more clean calories and I am gonna go with one gram of protein per pound of my body weight. I will start from that point and see how my body reacts to it. I then might up the intake later on. So pretty much I will be going by way of look and using those keto strips to my advantage. Thank you for the previous advice, it helped me dig deeper and seek out more knowledge.

You cannot elimianate, nor should you attempt to elimiate carbs from your diet. To answer your original question; you should take 1/2 of your fish oil caps early a.m. and 1/2 post workout. Make sure you use the ketosis strips the same time each day. I've foudnd I test with higher ketosis levels later in the day and almost always marginal in early a.m. Make sure to keep your fluid levels higher than normal when doing keto diet. Also VERY important to take additional fiber at least once ED.

you can take as much as 30g a day. anything over that and you kick yourself out of ketosis. you need to figure out which has fiber carbs which don't effect you and which has sugar carbs. if you can eat so clean up until your post workout drink than you shouldn't have any issues. your right to keep researching and figuring out how your body reacts.

Is there any brand of fish oil that dosnt give you that fish taste after you take it?

The best time to eat and take fish oil is in the morning or during your working hours. Fish have a most essential vitamins and protein which is good for health.
If you eat in the evening or at the time of rest then it cause of fat and over weighted.
Also do some simple exercise to control the fat and extra calories...
