blood squirt after quad pin

ok y'all. i pinned in quad today (as i have many times), pulled out pin and literally had a line of blood squirt out. no blood in syringe when i aspirated, a smooth normal inject in same area as usual. i rotate injection sites and inject in quads every third week. used me my usual 23g 1" pin. slight bruise and a little sore injection site tonight. this happen to anyone else before? anything to be worried about? thanks.

IDT you should worry. Sounds like you nicked a vessel. This happens to everyone at some point. You did everything correctly and if you kept to the normal hygiene you should be gtg. The bleeding stopped quickly after you swabbed w/alcohol?

yes sir, clean hands, new pin, alcohol pads over area; bleeding stopped fast. just caught me off guard a little, has never happened before

I have had it run down my leg, but never squirt. you'll be fine, cause if you was in trouble you would already be dead.

yeah..you nicked a decent size vein. I've had a little blood squirt before. I think there is blood from the nick and then you put in oil which builds some pressure and then when you remove the needle the extra pressure must release out the injection site a bit.

I've done it before too. Be glad it didn't bleed too long. My worst one bled pretty good for almost 10 min and made a mess.

sounds like a gusher man. luckily it stopped bleeding and all. i had me a pretty good mess on my bed (where i was sitting) i had to clean up. now it is always going to be on my mind everytime i'm fixin to pin in quad.

its no big deal if you asparated and got no blood you just hit a vein, blood vessel on the way in. the bruising is the blood pooling under the skin wikk absorb. have had many bleeders not squirting but sizable amount.

I did the same thing on my 2nd ever injection in my thigh. I pulled the pin out and blood was squirting all over my kitchen floor. Freaked me out, because I forgot to aspirate and thought i injected in a vein was ready to have a heart attack lol.. You probably went through a blood vessel and blood has to go somewhere

Youll be fine, hell I don't ever draw back and check for blood...test in blood stream cannot kill you unless you shoot it like a crack addict directing into blood stream..if you get some in your blood stream your just likely to be bit dizzy, disoreiented for few mins. Your going to bypass all nerves, veins if you go further than 3/4in into quad.

O wow I just nearly shit myself, I injected in my right delt and I was super slow probably 30 seconds for 1CC of test left it in for 10 maybe 15 seconds after and when I pulled out I squirt blood 6 inches straight up. It stopped right away though and I just wiped it off without another drop coming out. I've never gotten more than a few drops of blood and little wasted oil so this definately caught me off guard.
