You know how we have to eat every 2-2.5 hours. Well I was just wondering before we go to sleep what would be the best thing to do to get you through the night.
I thought a Casein protein powder would be good for its slow release. Is there anything else I could do though, like maybe eat more before bed, or set the alarm after about 4-5 hours sleep and have a protein shake waiting in the fridge. (I personally would hate being woken up in the middle of my sleep just because I find it hard to get to sleep in the first place.) Just looking to see what other people do to overcome this big gap. My ideal nights sleep (and into the day) is about 12 hours. (When I'm working full time again this'll change)

1/2 - 1 cup of cottage cheese before bed or some beef

Bump Supy , plus you could add some olive oil to it to slow the absorbtion .

Casein or solid proteins are great before bed. If you can actually pull it off, slamming whey about half way through sleeping will help, that's hardcore. If I do wake up to piss in the middle of the night I grab some quick whey, but I could never commit to doing it every night.
