Default Lighten up--it's OK to miss a day or two of training

Just thought I'd vent. I get asked this time and time again and hear people panic all the time.

Say you're planning a 12 week cycle. Ok, so you started and you cannot control your life and your immune system and someone dies in the family or you come down with the flu. I get bombarded with..................."If a miss 4-8 days am I going to ruin my cycle ?" and this list of questions goes on and on but you can figure them all out yourselves.

The answer, especially if you're are ill, is NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get better, or take care of your personal issues, then recommit. No big deal missing a few days or even a week. Now two or three weeks, probably will limit your final results, but don't sweat a week or 10 days. Keep up your cycle and maintain your diet and especially if you're ill, rest and fluids and get better before forcing yourself to the gym potentially prolonging your illness or giving it to your buddy (hopefully not herpes or something).

Just thought I"d vent here, 4 phone calls yesterday with the same issues.....

Well said my educated and informative friend. More rest, especially during an intense cycle, is much better and will do wonders for growth and progress.

A very old school guy once told me " your body has only one voice, you better listen to it ". This is when you get those pains and you still try to train or " OVER TRAIN " .
