Thhis pisses me off I have to vent

I have had a great relationship with my doctor. I told him about the prohormones I used. I explained that they are essetialy desinor oral steroids(they suck). When I go for a head cold or something we spend about 45min. talking about all kinds of shit. We are like friends. I have been seeing him since he was skinny kid just out of college. I told him I wanted to do testosterone and I think I have a chance to. I never detailed my juioce use.

Recently I went to him for sinus issues and asked if he would get me in for a heart stress test. He said sure. He wanted cholesteral numbers so I fasted and came the next morning for a blood draw.

Three days later I show up to the cardio vascular place and checked in. As the doctor was talking to me she mentioned I was ther on my doctors orders for stress test and steroid use evaluation. Needless to say I was pissed. I denied use of steroids and declared it was slanderous.

When we get out to the car to go home my bride explained that when she went to pick up the cholesteral results the nurse decleared "these are the cholesteral results the doctor wanted for his steroid use." She was apualed and shocked. There turned and left before She could show her outrage. She waited to tell me till after the test so I would not make a seen.

I quickly called my doctor and told him about the stress test results. I passed with flying colors. I then very diplomatically explained what his nurse had said and had written on the stress test order. He assured me he did not write that nor did he ever write down our confidential conversations nor did he instruct his nurse to write that. She had done this on her own based on here seeing through the years and the change in my old man physique, and no doubt her dogmatic ideas of juice. Apperantly nurses are not imune to the popular presses efforts to demonize Body builders. I told him he would have to have his nurse call my wife and appoligize for the slanderous thing she said to my wife. I explained she was very upset to think I would use steroids(not true) and that this needed to be fixed as It has become a domestic fight and I want to sleep in my onw bed agian. I also instructed him to call the heart office and have that comment scrached from the record. I asked him what the insurance implications could be becuase of this blatent attack on my character. Ten minutes later my wife got a call from the nurse with an apology and an explination of her stupidity. I shall call the heart office to see that a call was made to them. I WAS PISSED....................

Wow... kind of ballsy on the nurses part. What in the hell was she thinking? You don't just run around and accuse people of that shit. Although I am sure the doctor/ patient privacy is still in place... does that hold true at a third party clinic? Can they be subpoenaed for those sorts of things?

Wow that is BS! That sucks dude. If you were vindictive you definately could have taken this further and had her fired or worse made it so she never works in that profession again. That is definately a hippa violation you should let them know! How To File a Complaint

I'd be pissed. If she thinks you are on, she might think you will come down there and go hulk on the place before beating the shit out of everyone like all steroid abusers would do.

I think it sucks regarding the preconception with the medical field and aas. I was on 3 years and moved to a new location and tried to get trt from the local hmo and they said that they couldn't do it because they didn't have complete records from my initial doc even though I was on test for 3 years and said I'd have to go cold turkey and that I didn't need the test injects. Then I get the report later because I needed to get a script for something else and the endo stated "extremely muscular male in consult to try and get a testosterone script." Well..I knew instantly that was a lie!!! I'm not extremely muscular! LOL. He made a preconception because I was more in shape that the average male with hypogonadism and thus denied.

What gets me is that they'd rather see someone go cold turkey and be sick than to actually help someone since we all know the chances of coming back after 3 years of hrt is slim.

You were damn right to be appalled! This was nothing less than a breach of medical ethics on the part of the nurse -- she should not be discussing your medical history with anyone -- including your wife, without your express permission.

If you decided to press this issue, the nurse could likely even lose her license to practice, although pressing the issue might not be wise. As to having remarks removed from your records, I wish you good luck. You may have to face the possibility that, once entered, the data may never be corrected. (I'm not telling you not to try, just be prepared for any such efforts to fail.)
