Just got my cholesterol blood work back.

Triglycerides 91
total cholesterol 172
hdl 14
ldl 140
cholesterol/hdl ratio 12.29

How long before this gets back to normal?

haven't taken bp in a while. will take it at work tomorrow and post monday. what about hdl/ cholesterol ratio? it should be 3.3-5.0 mine is 12.29 2 1/2 times risk factor.
